Sometimes You Have to Start Over.
Old, damaged, or contaminated insulation can't be fixed by adding more on top. We remove it — attic, crawlspace, or walls — and leave a clean substrate ready for new installation.
When Removal Is Necessary
Our Removal Process
Inspection & Assessment
We inspect the space, identify the type and condition of existing insulation, and document what we find before starting.
Containment Setup
We protect your living space with plastic sheeting and use negative pressure equipment to prevent contamination from spreading.
Vacuum Removal
Existing insulation is removed using high-powered vacuum equipment and bagged for disposal. We remove all material, not just the top layer.
Surface Cleaning
After removal, we clean the substrate — joists, sheathing, and framing — and document the cleared space.
Reinstallation Ready
The space is ready for new insulation, air sealing, or any other work. We can proceed directly to reinstallation or leave it for your contractor.
Removal + Reinstallation
In most cases, removal is followed immediately by new insulation installation. We handle both in a single project — assessment, removal, air sealing, and new blown-in cellulose. You get a clean, properly insulated space without coordinating multiple contractors.
Not Sure What You Have Up There?
We'll inspect your attic or crawlspace and walk you through what we find. If removal is needed, we'll explain why and give you a straight estimate.
